Learn about spots together
The main spots include: freckles, sun spots, age spots, café-au-lait spots, nevus of Ohta, brown-green nevus, chloasma, and freckle-like nevus. There are many factors responsible for the formation of spots. For example, the increase in melanin activity after sun exposure increases the melanin content in the basal layer of the epidermis, forming spots. Changes in sex hormone levels in the body during menstruation and pregnancy can affect the production of melanin, thereby forming spots. Blood vessel dilation in the skin lesions, pigmentation, etc., will also form spots.
Principle of spots
Excessive melanin in the skin will cause darkening and pigmentation, and inflammation of the skin will dilate blood vessels in the dermis.
The melanin content in the basal layer of the epidermis increases, the blood vessels in the dermis expand, and the permeability increases, forming spots.
